A Reputable Institution located in Beirut is seeking to recruit a Finance Manager.
Main Duties:
- Develop, update, and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and donor guidelines.
- Manage budgeting processes, including preparation, monitoring, and reporting on budgets to Donors.
- Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and risk assessment to support strategic decision-making and financial sustainability of the NGO.
- Oversee accounting functions, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and reconciliations, to maintain accurate financial records and submitting accurate reports.
- Coordinate and meet regularly with project managers to track project expenses, funding utilization, and grant compliance, while ensuring that there is no over spending and making use of the underspending.
- Prepare financial reports, statements, and presentations for the internal management, and external stakeholders including Head of Operations, donors, partners, Board Members and auditors.
- Ensure that the accounting team prepare monthly accurate reports related to bank reconciliation, financial service provider reconciliation, and monitor their work consecutively.
- Preform weekly cash counts with the admin officer and shares them with the Head of Operations by the end of the week.
- Monitor and conduct spot-check on cash flow, bank accounts, donor fundings, Fixed assets, and financial performance, and recommend actions to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, audits, and financial reviews as required by law and organizational policies.
- Provide guidance and support to the accounting team members and cashier to promote a culture of compliance and integrity, and contribute to capacity building initiatives.
- Prepare the monthly staff salaries and volunteer allowance payments while working closely with the auditor and the Head of Operations.
- Resolve any financial disputes raised by the head of operations, upper management, and donors.
- Monitor monthly timesheet %s for all team members before reporting them to the donor.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Master's degree or professional certification CPA, CFA is a plus.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in financial management, preferably in an NGO or INGO.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with grant management, fundraising, and donor reporting processes is a must.
- Detail-oriented and high level of constructive attitude and proactivity.
- Proven experience in leadership is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, accounting standards, and donor regulations as USAID and EU funding.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in financial software (ERP Microsoft Dynamis system is a plus) and Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills for financial analysis.
- Fluent in Arabic and English.
