Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Hospitals

Job Brief: We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering design team. The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible to design mechanical systems including but not limited to HVAC, Firefighting and Smoke Management, Plumbing, Drainage, and Gas systems.
Job Responsibilities
• Prepare design drawings, from concept design to detailed designs.
• Design in line with French norms.
• Prepare BoQ and Specifications.
• Ensure that the design criteria are maintained through the design development and construction process.
• Arrange for full construction (MEP Installation & planning) support during the design phase to maximize constructability.
• Lead problem solving and resolution of design issues
• Identify issues causing risk or delay to the design finalization
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, especially suppliers.
• Attending meetings and providing input and updates.
• Analyzing data and writing up reports.
• Communicating with staff, directors, and clients.
• Providing technical consultation to customers and staff as required.
Job Specifications
• Shop Drawing Experience is a plus.
• Being well versed and able to design according to French norms is a requirement.
• Previous experience in designing hospital MEP systems is required.
• Master/bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or other related field;
• At least 10 years of similar work experience
• Computer literacy especially MS Office, Ms. Project, AutoCAD; Revit
• Thorough knowledge of MEP Systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and excellent organization skills;
• Be friendly, flexible, honest, hard-working, and creative.
• Be able to work under pressure with high responsibility;
• Good verbal and written English; French literacy is a plus
