Key Responsibilities:
  1. Plant Operations Management:
  • Oversee the operation of diesel generator-powered power plants to ensure continuous, efficient, and safe electricity supply.
  • Implement daily operational plans to ensure optimal generator performance and energy efficiency.
  1. Maintenance Team Management:
  • Lead and guide maintenance teams to ensure preventive and routine maintenance of generators and related equipment.
  • Supervise emergency repairs and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive maintenance plans for generators and related systems.
  1. Performance Analysis and Reporting:
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of generators and related technologies to ensure maximum efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare regular technical reports on plant and system conditions, offering recommendations for performance improvement and operational readiness.
  1. Resource Planning and Management:
  • Develop strategies for plant expansion and performance enhancement.
  • Plan for maintenance resources, equipment, and spare parts to ensure availability when needed.
  • Manage the budget allocated for maintenance and operations.
  1. Compliance with Standards and Regulations:
  • Ensure the plant adheres to all technical, environmental, and safety regulations.
  • Update and apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) in line with the latest trends in the energy industry.
  1. Training and Development:
  • Train and develop the skills of maintenance and operations teams.
  • Prepare training plans to maintain team expertise and stay updated with the latest diesel generator technologies.
  1. Emergency Response:
  • Lead a quick and effective response during emergencies to maintain stability in the electrical system of the plant.
  • Coordinate with various teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  1. Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing and operating diesel generator-powered power plants.
  1. Technical Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of diesel generator components, electrical systems, and control systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and use monitoring and diagnostic tools effectively.
  1. Managerial Skills:
  • Proven experience in leading and managing teams effectively and overseeing daily operations.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
  1. Communication and Collaboration:
  • Strong communication skills with internal teams and maintenance crews.
  • Ability to coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow.
  1. Personal Skills:
  • Ability to work in challenging environments and handle emergency situations.
  • Strong organizational and management skills to ensure continuous performance improvement.
