The Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling the company's food and beverage products to customers, including retailers, wholesalers, and distributors. This role involves identifying new sales opportunities, maintaining customer relationships, and achieving sales targets.
Required skills & qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
3+ years of experience as a Sales Representative in the F&B industry (Experience within the African region is a plus)
Strong selling and negotiation skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Customer-focused approach with a strong understanding of customer needs.
Strong organizational, time management, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Duties & responsibilities:
• Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the assigned territory or market segment.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s product portfolio.
• Present, promote, and sell products to existing and prospective customers.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers and accounts.
• Handle customer inquiries, provide product information, and resolve any issues or complaints.
• Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
• Develop and execute effective sales plans to achieve sales targets and objectives.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate with the sales team and management to develop strategies for expanding the customer base.
• Prepare and submit regular sales reports, including sales activity, performance, and forecasts.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales, and transactions using CRM software.
• Provide feedback to the management team on market trends, competitive activities, and customer preferences.
• Participate in promotional activities, trade shows, and events to enhance product visibility and brand awareness.
• Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
• Educate customers on new products, promotions, and special offers.
• Stay updated on product features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
• Provide product training and support to customers and distributors as needed.
