Job Title: Country Financial Controller


Location: Lebanon




Role Summary




We are seeking an experienced Country Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of six companies, including two operating entities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monthly accounting closures, intercompany reconciliations, financial consolidation, HR and administrative functions, and treasury management. This role also serves as the main point of contact for auditors and legal representatives, ensuring compliance with local regulations and international standards. Proficiency in Odoo ERP and fluency in Arabic are mandatory.




Key Responsibilities




Financial Oversight and Consolidation




• Supervise the financial activities of six companies, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.


• Oversee monthly accounting closures and the preparation of consolidated financial and management reports for the group.


• Ensure accurate and timely financial consolidation across all entities, integrating data from operating and non-operating companies.


• Analyze consolidated financial performance and provide strategic insights to the leadership team.


• Drive process improvements in consolidation workflows to ensure efficiency and accuracy.




Intercompany Reconciliation




• Manage intercompany reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to group policies.


• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between entities to maintain financial integrity.


• Streamline intercompany processes to improve reporting timelines.




Treasury and Banking Management




• Implement and enforce strong treasury management practices to ensure liquidity and optimal cash flow for all companies.


• Manage banking relationships, oversee payment schedules, and ensure timely collections and reconciliations.


• Forecast cash requirements for operating and non-operating entities to support strategic decision-making.




Compliance, Audit, and Legal Coordination




• Serve as the main point of contact for external auditors and legal representatives, ensuring smooth communication and compliance.


• Lead the preparation for audits, ensuring all documentation and processes meet regulatory and international standards.


• Ensure compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards, mitigating legal and financial risks.




HR and Administrative Leadership




• Oversee HR functions, including payroll, employee record management, and compliance with local labor laws for all entities.


• Manage administrative functions to ensure operational efficiency and support for the companies’ activities.


• Mentor and develop finance and administrative teams, fostering a high-performance culture.




Qualifications and Skills




• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• Extensive experience in financial management, preferably in a group structure managing multiple companies.


• Proven expertise in financial consolidation and reporting.


• Proficiency in Odoo ERP and other financial software.


• Fluency in Arabic (spoken and written) is mandatory, with strong proficiency in English and French.


• Strong expertise in intercompany reconciliations, treasury management, and compliance.


• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.


• Proven ability to manage relationships with auditors, legal representatives, and external stakeholders.
