Job Summary:

The Business Development and Partnerships Manager is a senior-level strategic role focused on driving growth, establishing high-impact partnerships, and identifying innovative opportunities in the veterinary and pharmaceutical industries. This individual will be responsible for setting and executing business development strategies that align with our long-term vision and growth objectives.
Reporting directly to executive leadership, this role demands a strategic thinker and influential communicator with a deep understanding of the veterinary and pharmaceutical landscapes. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of securing key partnerships, developing go-to-market strategies, and building new revenue channels within competitive markets.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Growth Planning and Execution:
• Define and implement high-level business development strategies that align with our expansion goals in the GCC and international markets.
• Lead market entry strategies for new product lines or emerging markets, assessing viability and profitability.
• Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of partnerships and business development initiatives, providing regular reports to senior management.

High-Impact Partnerships and Vendor Relations:
• Identify and secure strategic partnerships with key suppliers, manufacturers, and distributors in the veterinary and pharmaceutical industries.
• Manage high-value relationships with partners, ensuring alignment with our values and business objectives.
• Negotiate and finalize long-term contracts, ensuring favorable terms and a strong foundation for sustainable growth.
Market Research and Opportunity Assessment:
• Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies relevant to our product offerings.
• Stay abreast of industry developments, regulatory changes, and competitor activities, using insights to inform our strategic direction.
• Collaborate with product development and marketing teams to guide product adaptations based on market demand and client feedback.

Cross-Functional Leadership and Collaboration:
• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Product Development, and Operations to ensure that business development activities are aligned with overall company goals.
• Support the Sales team by providing market intelligence and assisting in positioning our company offerings for maximum impact.
• Act as a liaison between our company and strategic partners, bridging communication gaps and ensuring seamless collaboration across teams.

New Product Development and Commercialization:
• Lead the sourcing and evaluation of new products in pharmaceuticals and veterinary equipment that complement our portfolio.
• Oversee the go-to-market strategy for new products, working with Sales and Marketing to ensure a successful launch and market adoption.
• Assess product performance and gather market feedback to inform future product development and positioning strategies.

Financial Analysis and Business Case Development:
• Prepare detailed business cases for new opportunities, including revenue projections, ROI analysis, and risk assessments.
• Develop and manage budgets for business development initiatives, ensuring resources are allocated to high-potential growth areas.
• Present business cases and strategic recommendations to executive leadership, advocating for investments and initiatives that drive value for our company.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in business development or strategic partnerships, with a background in the veterinary, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sectors.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain high-value partnerships and successfully lead market entry initiatives.
• Strong negotiation skills and experience with high-stakes contract management.
• Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to synthesize market data into actionable insights.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; able to influence at all organizational levels.
