We are looking for a Contracts Manager with 5 to 10 years of experience to oversee, draft, and negotiate contracts. The role involves ensuring contractual rights are preserved, managing contract terms, and coordinate with various departments while maintaining precise records of contractual matters and communications.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Lead contract negotiations and resolve business-related issues with suppliers and partners.
- Draft, review, and finalize contracts, ensuring all terms are comprehensive and enforceable.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure project progress aligns with contractual terms and conditions.
- Address and resolve discrepancies or conflicts between project execution and contract requirements.
- Prepare and justify time extension and cost claims based on project delays and other factors.
- Provide detailed reasoning and documentation for all claims to support their validity.
- Administer and manage contract variations, ensuring all changes are well documented and approved.
- Responding promptly and accurately to contractual inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and submit contractual notices, letters, and other required documents within the stipulated timelines.
- Maintain meticulous records of all contractual communications and documentation for future reference.
- Collaborate with insurance companies to secure and manage necessary project related policies.
- Work closely with the Procurement Department on subcontracts agreements and other related matters.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records of all contracts, variations, claims, and associated communications.
- Handle additional tasks as required to ensure smooth contract operations.
Job Requirements:
- 5-10 years of experience in contract management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. Know-how in the façade industry is a plus.
- Master’s degree in Contracts Law or Construction Management is a plus.
- Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing and mentoring teams, particularly quantity surveyors.
- Strong knowledge in FIDIC standard conditions of contract. Other standard forms of contract is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in English (both spoken and written). Fluency in French is a plus.
