Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Middle East and North Africa Deputy Director of Public Affairs and Communications based in Beirut or Amman - open to Lebanese and Jordanians respectively. The post holder will lead a team of regional communications professionals to develop and execute a comprehensive 360-degree communications strategy to advocate for better outcomes for IRC clients and raise the profile of IRC’s work in the MENA region and globally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in public affairs, communications, or related field
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective communication strategies
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of media relations and public relations practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Fluency in English and Arabic (written and spoken)
- Passion for humanitarian work and commitment to the IRC's mission
