JOB SUMMARYThe videographer/video editor plans, films, and edits videos for several projects related to the University. Responsibilities include preparing rushes on and off campus and covering all the events related to the University to be used in various communication and advertising materials.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
- Takes the brief to understand specifications and works closely with the team to follow the concept and strategy.
- Captures and processes videos until achieving desired results.
- Shoots video content that looks organic.
- Constantly improves video quality using various editing methods.
- Uses and maintains modern and traditional technical equipment (cameras, lenses, etc.).
- Arranges objects, scenes, lighting, and background to adhere to specifications.
- Archives video footage and maintains the video database.
- Maintains an in-depth understanding of videography best practices and procedures.
- Edits the footage to produce final materials.
- Adds supers and graphics to video content whenever needed.
- Stays up to date when it comes to transition and editing trends.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Knowledge of advertising needs and angles.
- Understanding of post-production techniques.
- Technical expertise to operate, configure, set up, and fix video, audio, lighting, or other production equipment.
- Knowledge of computerized tape editing software and equipment.
- Detail-oriented (to capture the perfect shot).
- Organized and self-motivated.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Videography or any related field.
- 6-8 years of experience and a strong portfolio with a range of in-market work.
