JOB PURPOSE:
The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving maximum sales generation, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling consumer goods products. She/He is also responsible for contacting and securing new business customers.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales and Stock Management:
- Check the inventory at the clients to prepare replenishment orders.
- Manage the selling process, to ensure the achievement of targets and increase in sales.
- Implement the approved sales cycle to better follow-up with clients and serve their needs.
- Recruit new clients in existing or novel industries and assess new opportunities in the assigned areas in order to increase sales and distribution coverage.
- Implement the yearly contract with the client as per the Direct Manager’s guidelines.
- Coordinate with the Merchandiser in order to give the right instructions for the guidelines’ implementation.
Collection & Receivables:
- Monitor the statement of account for all clients in coordination with the RCC Unit to ensure that credit notes and other types of financial compensations are done on time.
- Collect all invoices at the right time in order to avoid overdue.
- Ensure monthly collection target is achieved.
Market Analysis:
- Perform market data collection concerning competitors’ sales, promotions, new products and marketing activities to be able to compete in the market and to ensure a competitive advantage for the brands.
- Perform the required reports daily to keep the Direct Manager up-to-date with daily business transactions.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or any related field.
- 1 to 4 years of experience in sales, preferably in a consumer goods industry.
- Fluent in Arabic and English. French is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent negotiation and selling skills.
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Learning-oriented, with a drive to always enhance their knowledge and skills.
- Well-developed organizational and time management skills.
