Country Manager - Lebanon

Position Description:

The Country Manager is responsible for leading the sales team to achieve strategic, financial, and business objectives in Lebanon. This includes developing and implementing business plans, pricing strategies, commercial initiatives to drive revenue growth, support new product launches, and meet sales targets.


The Country Manager must stay informed on healthcare developments, assess market trends, and adapt strategies to maintain a competitive edge, ensuring successful product positioning and business expansion in the region. As a Country Manager you will be responsible for working within the framework of a team and performing the following activities:


Strategic Leadership & Business Development:

  • Lead the field implementation team in Lebanon to achieve strategic, financial, and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement business plans, pricing policies, and commercial strategies that drive revenue growth, focus product sales, and support new product launches.
  • Leverage in-depth knowledge of customer and marketplace challenges to identify and prioritize sales opportunities, guiding business plans for maximizing revenue growth across all accounts.
  • Research competitors' pricing, products, and strategies in the local market, and use this information to develop and implement effective local business strategies.
  • Conduct regular sales forecasting, area analysis, and project planning to ensure alignment with company processes.


Sales & Financial Performance:

  • Exceed sales targets and business objectives in Lebanon.
  • Coordinated sales, logistics, and clinical activities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support the field team with strategies to accelerate portfolio sales and liquidation.
  • Establish and manage objectives for the local team, reporting directly to the field implementation manager.


Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clinicians, purchasing teams, and key stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support for Applied products in operating rooms and during surgeries.
  • Deliver product presentations and conducted training workshops for clinical staff.
  • Collaborate with operations to manage pricing, samples, and resolve customer issues.
  • Stay updated on clinical data to effectively educate healthcare professionals.


Team Management & Development:

  • Coach and develop team members to adapt to local market dynamics.
  • Manage task assignments, territories, and priorities to achieve sales goals.
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify growth opportunities.
  • Co-travel with team members to demonstrate best practices and ensure strategy execution.


Additional Duties:

  • Monitor business trends, healthcare developments, and insurance reimbursement policies to stay informed and align strategies accordingly.
  • Foster collaboration between field teams and Applied Medical MENAT support departments for seamless operations.
  • Provide strategic insights for developing clinical programs that enhance value for practitioners and patients, in partnership with the clinical education team.
  • Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to ensure accurate sales and inventory forecasting, meeting customer demand efficiently.


Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (Life Sciences, Healthcare, or a medical-related degree is a plus).


Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of sales experience, ideally in medical devices or healthcare distribution.
  • At least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Expertise in the surgical device segment is highly preferred.


Skills:

  • Fluent in English and Arabic, with strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities in both languages.
  • Exceptional presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and culturally aligned with empathy for patients, customers, and team members.
  • Solution-focused thinker with strategic problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proven team management and leadership skills, with a track record of mentoring and developing team members.
