Position Title: Design Execution Manager
Position Summary:
Seeking a highly qualified and creative architectural designer with extensive managerial experience in building and contracting management, particularly in the fit-out of high-end signature projects. The ideal candidate is a team leader who thrives on problem-solving, enjoys exposure to multiple projects, and can effectively manage and coordinate tasks from concept to completion.
The Design Execution Manager will manage, review, and coordinate shop drawings for complex real estate projects, focusing primarily on villas and luxury residential developments. This role ensures all shop drawings are precise, adhere to project specifications, and are delivered within the required timelines. Acting as a bridge between design and execution, the manager collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shop Drawings Management:
- Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of shop drawings for all project phases, ensuring accuracy and compliance with design and construction standards.
- Coordinate with design consultants, architects, and contractors to resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain a streamlined process for drawing submissions, approvals, and revisions to avoid delays in project timelines.
- Technical Coordination and Communication:
- Serve as the primary contact for all shop drawing-related issues between the construction, design, and project management teams.
- Facilitate clear communication and collaboration between stakeholders to ensure design intent is preserved.
- Provide feedback to design teams based on execution challenges and on-site requirements.
- Execution and Quality Assurance:
- Supervise on-site work to ensure adherence to approved shop drawings and project standards.
- Regularly review shop drawings to identify potential conflicts or areas needing clarification.
- Ensure all drawings comply with local building codes and regulations for real estate projects.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of shop drawing submissions, approvals, and revisions.
- Generate regular progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting milestones, risks, and areas needing attention.
- Ensure proper documentation is in place for project handover and close-out phases.
- Team Leadership and Mentorship:
- Lead and mentor a team of draftsmen and junior engineers, aligning their efforts with project goals and standards.
- Provide training and guidance on shop drawing preparation, detailing, and quality control processes.
- Material and Specification Coordination:
- Ensure shop drawings accurately reflect material specifications and construction methodologies.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to align materials with the approved shop drawings.

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Project Manager, Director of Construction, or Head of Engineering.
Education and Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 15 to 20 years in shop drawing management, focusing on real estate projects, especially villas or luxury developments.
- Extensive experience coordinating with architects, consultants, and contractors in high-end construction projects.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to travel to the UAE as needed to oversee project execution, collaborate with on-site teams, and ensure compliance with local standards and regulations.
