Responsibilities:
Coffee Preparation: Expertly prepare a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, Americano, and more. Grind coffee beans to the appropriate consistency and measure precise amounts for each drink.
Espresso Extraction: Calibrate and operate espresso machines to extract shots of espresso with consistent flavor and crema. Monitor espresso quality and adjust grind settings as needed for optimal extraction.
Milk Frothing: Steam and froth milk to create velvety microfoam for lattes, cappuccinos, and other milk-based drinks. Achieve the ideal milk temperature and texture for each beverage.
Latte Art: Skillfully pour latte art designs, such as hearts, rosettas, and tulips, to enhance the visual appeal of beverages.
Menu Knowledge: Possess in-depth knowledge of the coffee menu, including different coffee origins, flavor profiles, and brewing methods. Make recommendations based on guests' preferences and educate them about coffee options.
Customer Interaction: Greet guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, taking their orders and answering any questions they may have. Provide a personalized coffee experience by tailoring beverages to guests' taste preferences.
Brewing Techniques: Prepare pour-over coffee, French press, and other manual brewing methods with precision and care. Educate guests about the unique characteristics of different brewing techniques.
Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean coffee machines, grinders, steam wands, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and hygiene.
Cash Handling and Transactions: Process guest payments accurately, handle cash transactions, and provide correct change. Issue receipts and process credit card payments.
Cleanliness and Hygiene: Keep the coffee station and work area clean and organized, including wiping down counters and equipment. Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards to ensure guest safety.
