Procurement Officer
Job Summary:
The Procurement Officer will be responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services for the organization, ensuring all purchases are made in accordance with company policies and regulations. The role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining positive relationships with vendors while ensuring cost efficiency and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sourcing and Supplier Management:
o Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors.
o Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
o Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.
2. Purchasing and Order Management:
o Procure goods and services as per organizational requirements.
o Prepare and issue purchase orders.
o Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely delivery of supplies.
o Track and manage orders from request through to delivery.
3. Contract Management:
o Assist in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts with suppliers.
o Ensure that all contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.
o Monitor contract performance and resolve any issues that may arise.
4. Compliance and Reporting:
o Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.
o Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, transactions, and contracts.
o Prepare and present regular procurement reports to management.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
o Work closely with internal departments (e.g., finance, operations) to understand procurement needs.
o Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on procurement policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Proven experience in procurement from local IT market is a plus.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
