We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accountant with expertise in using the Omega System to manage and oversee financial transactions, reporting, and accounting functions. The Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial data, generating financial reports, maintaining accounting records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Recordkeeping:
Utilize the Omega System to manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
Maintain accurate financial records and ensure they are up-to-date in the Omega System.
Reconcile accounts and prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
Assist with payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
Financial Reporting:
Prepare financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) for internal and external reporting.
Generate detailed reports from the Omega System to analyze financial performance and identify discrepancies or trends.
Collaborate with management to prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial planning reports.
Compliance and Audit:
Ensure all financial transactions and accounting processes comply with company policies, industry regulations, and accounting standards.
Assist with external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and reports.
Identify areas for improvement in financial processes and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
Oversee the accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, payments, and collections.
Process payments and ensure the proper application of credits and debits in the Omega System.
Follow up with clients or vendors regarding overdue invoices and resolve discrepancies.
Systems and Tools:
Use the Omega System to track and report on all financial transactions.
Ensure the accuracy and reliability of data entered into the system and troubleshoot any system-related issues.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an accountant, with hands-on experience using Omega System or similar accounting software.
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Strong understanding of financial processes, tax laws, and accounting standards.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA is a plus)
