Job Description
Contract duration: A total of 1320 working hours (40/week) and 100 hours of overtime.
• Supervise operational and training activities in-country, including liaison with government officials and overseeing support services (interpretation, catering, transportation).
• Manage travel, lodging, and transportation for personnel, contractors, and instructional staff in Lebanon.
• Monitor program efficiency and report to the Program Manager (PM), ensuring effective service delivery.
• Attend meetings with government and program representatives, providing interpretation and translation as needed.
• Draft and translate diplomatic documents (notes, letters, memorandums) between English and Arabic.
• Coordinate logistics and documentation for training programs, including course funding and participation letters.
• Handle policy and security checks for training participants in collaboration with staff.
• Prepare management reports and schedules for PM and other stakeholders.
• Oversee security for property and personnel, coordinating equipment shipment and country clearances.
• Submit and monitor procurement requisitions for training materials and supplies.
• Coordinate logistical support, including transportation, food, and interpreter services, with contracted personnel and staff.
• Recommend and coordinate repair and maintenance services for the property.
• Work with the General Services Office (GSO) on procurement and travel arrangements.
• Maintain electronic records of procurement, services, and communications, and provide weekly reports to PM.
• Advise PM and staff on the host country's culture and customs.
• Coordinate participant medical exams and travel for VIP delegations.
• Manage logistics for training events, including hotel reservations, equipment shipments, and supply orders.
• Develop logistical plans and draft complex diplomatic documents for approval.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, law, political science, public administration, or business administration or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years experience in a total managerial position, including procurement and budget, human resources, and supervision. Management experience must include work with police or military training programs, knowledge of local government protocols, and managing activities of high-level government supervisory and administrative staff.
Language Proficiency:
This position requires a Level 4, fluent ability to read, write, speak, and understand Arabic, and a Level 4, fluent ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. The position requires at least an overall score of 6.5 or equivalent on the IELTS Academic version (with a 7.0 writing and speaking) or an equivalent language examination.
Job Knowledge:
This position requires knowledge regarding training methodology, public administration, law enforcement responsibilities, and operational activities; should know the Department of State’s role in world affairs and responsibilities in anti-terrorism efforts.
