Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Senior Accountant role located in Achrafieh. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting regulations and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with accounting principles (GAAP, IFRS).
Conduct variance analysis to understand discrepancies between actual and budgeted figures.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management, external auditors, and regulatory authorities.
Accounting Operations:
Oversee general ledger entries, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
Ensure accuracy of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
Monitor cash flow and manage bank reconciliations.
Prepare and process payroll and related tax filings.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Assist in the preparation and management of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
Analyze financial data to support budgetary decision-making.
Internal Controls and Compliance:
Implement and maintain internal control systems to safeguard company assets.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.
Prepare for and assist with audits, providing required documentation and explanations.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
Collaborate with other departments to support business operations and financial goals.
Review and approve accounting work completed by junior staff.
Taxation:
Assist in tax preparation and filing of returns, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Coordinate with tax advisors to ensure accurate tax filings and minimize liabilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial reporting and general accounting.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and tax regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Dolphin) and Microsoft Excel.
Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally
