Experience required: 3 years experience of cost management, project control or project management experience
Education Required: Bachelor degree in Mechanical ,Civil Engineering or Architecture.

Position Goal

To perform a variety of cost engineering functions encompassing estimating, budget preparations, forecasting and cost reporting under limited supervision.

Performance Responsibilities (not limited to)

1. Receive new projects from HOD and take necessary information;

2. Check drawings, information received, prepare a list of questions & refer to HOD;

3. Establish a material take off in other words extract quantity needed for every project;

4. Plan projects in hand & set a schedule based on HOD’s directives & priorities;

5. Perform and ensure an effective cost estimation function for ongoing projects by filling a detailed costing BOQ listing which include:
a. A detailed list of quantities and specifications of raw material to be used
b. Interventions of suppliers/ subcontractors such as painters, carpenters, electricians etc. & do the adequate follow up;
c. Intervention time needed for design, production and installation

6. Price all materials, items, subcontractors interventions and follow up on all requests;

7. Save all received quotations for future reference.

8. Keep an updated table with raw materials prices.

9. Prepare a cost estimation sheet for every project by analyzing previous costs (refer to point 5 & 6) checking errors;

10. Establish and submit detailed proposals to the sales department which include items used, references, descriptions etc.;


11. Readjust and modify offers when it exceeds client budget by carrying out a variation order (changing items / materials, lowering quantity needed, changing item design etc.) under the supervision of the HOD;

12. Maintain current cost control database by including drawing and email reference in the proposal;

13. Be updated with proposed schedule changes with sales, operation and design department;

14. Coordinate multiple, large, visible and short-term projects simultaneously and ensure a continuous follow - up with HOD
