The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing detailed mechanical and technical shop drawings using advanced design software. The role supports our engineering and manufacturing teams by translating design concepts into accurate, buildable plans that meet project specifications and industry standards.Key Responsibilities:
Develop and prepare precise mechanical drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and detailed specifications for systems and components.
Translate conceptual sketches into detailed design layouts and technical schematics.
Create multiple design options for review and refinement by the engineering team.
Apply fabrication techniques and mechanical standards to shop drawing development.
Work under the guidance of senior mechanical engineers or project managers.
Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure mechanical designs meet overall project goals and compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Drafting, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical drafting, with a focus on shop drawings.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and other CAD software is essential.
Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a strong advantage.
Strong attention to detail, technical drawing skills, and the ability to interpret complex mechanical systems.
