General Construction Foreman

Role Summary:
The Construction Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating on-site construction activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality and safety standards. This role involves managing workers, liaising with engineers and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Main Duties
-Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on site.
-Assign tasks and monitor the work of laborers, subcontractors, and tradespeople.
-Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
-Ensure work is carried out according to project plans, safety standards, and quality requirements.
-Monitor progress and provide daily/weekly reports to the Project Manager.-Inspect work to identify potential issues and resolve them promptly.
-Maintain inventory of materials and request supplies as needed.
-Enforce compliance with safety rules and regulations on-site.
-Train and mentor junior workers and ensure team productivity.
-Coordinate with engineers, site supervisors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications
•Education Minimum of a high school diploma; bachelor's degree in a related field or diploma in a skilled trade is a plus.
•At least 12 years of experience in construction, with Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety regulations.

Technical knowledge, skills & abilities required:
•Proven experience as construction foreman.
•Strong understanding of construction processes.
•Good knowledge of safety regulations and building codes.
•Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and blueprints.
•Familiarity with project management concepts, principles, and tools.
•Excellent organizational and leadership skills.

•Preferred Skills:
-Familiarity with web browsing and research.
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel ·and Outlook.
