Job Description:
As an Electrical engineer with design and technical field service expertise you are required to support both design and serviced departments. On one hand, you will have to team up with the design department to provide technical solutions for projects during their conceptional phases. On the other hand, you might be deployed on various industrial sites with the service team where you will have to perform miscellaneous technical services or maintenance activities for our customers. The technical services are related to consultancy tasks or commissioning works of electrical equipment. As for the maintenance activities, they could have preventive nature (scheduled maintenance, revamping, upgrading, etc.) or curative nature (troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, etc.) of specific equipment.
During your work in both departments, you will have to put your communication skills at work. You will have to communicate the right information upon the right channel in the team, report to the related manager, manage and perform time allocation of work tasks, communicate with the customer and held accountable for the quality of the company’s services.
Responsibilities:
Implement commissioning activities,
Support and coordinate with the installation team on the site.
Support technical design department in performing and developing electrical systems design for various project types including - but not limited to power plants, substations, commercial buildings, infrastructure projects, design calculations for various electrical systems and panel boards
Generate and prepare design and construction drawings for power distribution, HV and MV systems including standard details in accordance to international and local codes and standards (IEEE, IEC, BS…)
Install, repair and maintain electrical equipment in the field;
Provide customer training as required.
Provide technical support for new unit installation / startup and other outage work scopes
Responsible for meeting daily service repair needs
Perform field engineering projects while maintaining safety standards.
Provide feedback from the field in order to improve the quality level of the product
Carry out on site root cause analysis on equipment failures

Documents all inspections, maintenance, repair work and submits paperwork in a timely basis,

Miscellaneous duties as required.
Provide adequate documentation and reports upon completion of each assigned job.
Background:
Bachelor's degree or master’s degree in electrical engineering.
Minimum 5 years of field service and/or commissioning experience
Strong written and verbal proficiency in English, French is a plus
AVR / Generator Excitation / Scada system / Electrical Drive
PLC programming, knowledge in fuel saver system, substation design is a plus
Strong computer skills (e.g. understanding of networking protocol, quick to learn new software, able to solve programming issues)
MUST HAVE
Ability to configure and use communication hardware and software.
Ability to lift and move equipment with weight in line with local regulation
Driving license
