The Operations Manager oversees the company’s overall operational performance with a primary focus on Finance, Research & Development (R&D), and Supply Chain Management. This role ensures that production, innovation, and financial processes run efficiently, cost-effectively, and in alignment with the company’s strategic goals and food industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:1. Operations & Strategic Management
Oversee daily operational activities across departments to ensure smooth, efficient production and delivery.
Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with business objectives.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive productivity, cost control, and profitability.
Coordinate cross-functional activities between production, finance, R&D, and supply chain teams.
2. Financial Management
Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure optimal allocation of resources to maintain profitability and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with accounting to ensure accurate costing, inventory valuation, and financial compliance.
3. Supply Chain Management
Oversee procurement, inventory control, logistics, and vendor management.
Negotiate contracts with suppliers and ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards.
Optimize supply chain operations to reduce costs, minimize waste, and improve lead times.
Ensure adequate raw material availability for uninterrupted production.
4. Research & Development (R&D)
Supervise R&D activities to drive innovation and new product development.
Work closely with the R&D team to ensure products meet market needs, cost targets, and regulatory standards.
Evaluate and approve raw material alternatives and process improvements for efficiency and quality.
Ensure proper documentation and testing of new recipes, packaging, and formulations.
5. Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure all operational processes adhere to local and international food safety regulations (HACCP, ISO, GMP, etc.).
Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain product consistency and safety standards.
Support internal and external audits related to operations, finance, and production.
6. Team Leadership & Development
Lead, train, and mentor department managers and their teams.
Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
Evaluate performance and implement improvement plans as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 7–10 years of experience in operations management within the food manufacturing or FMCG industry.
Strong knowledge of financial management, supply chain processes, and R&D operations.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
Strong understanding of food safety regulations and production standards.
