Weighs and measures the height of all admitted patients to the floor
Puts bracelets on all patients’ wrists, when admitted to floor
Ensures cleanness of patients
Assists in all diagnostic procedures
Feeds all patients according to medical order
Takes vital signs and record them on TPR sheet
Reports any abnormal changes in patient medical status to the Registered Nurse/ In- Charge Nurse
Receives and discharge patients to and from the floor
Records findings and inform RN in case of abnormality, empty Foley catheter bags
Checks and report the unit’s materials availability to superiors (linen, gauzes, sets…)
Gives postmortem care (cleanness, roll in clean cover…)
Prepares patients to surgical procedures (shaving, giving enemas…)
Performs routine patients’ safety rounds on an hourly basis
Ensures tidiness and cleanness of the unit
Participates in all floor meetings
Ensures proper maintenance and use of medical equipment and report any misusage or malfunctioning to RN
Performs clerical tasks, when needed
