Junior Internal Audit & Risk Consultant

Key Responsibilities
1. Policies & Procedures Review

Assist in reviewing, updating, and documenting policies, procedures, SOPs, and process flows.

Conduct process walkthroughs and map business processes using flowcharts.

Ensure documentation aligns with governance standards and internal control best practices.

2. Risk Assessment & Risk Management

Support enterprise risk assessments by identifying risks and evaluating their impact and likelihood.

Help maintain and update risk registers.

Contribute to the development or enhancement of risk management frameworks.

3. Data Collection & Analysis

Gather, organize, and analyse qualitative and quantitative client data.

Prepare high-quality working papers and maintain strong documentation standards.

4. Internal Audit Support

Assist in drafting internal audit charters, annual audit plans, and audit programs.

Participate in audit fieldwork, including walkthroughs, testing, documentation, and evidence collection.

Document audit findings and help prepare draft audit reports.

5. Client Deliverables & Support

Support the preparation of presentations, reports, and recommendations.

Participate in client meetings and prepare meeting minutes when required.

Uphold strict confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Audit, Risk Management, or a related field.

Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, or CISA is preferred (or currently in progress).

Experience

Understanding of audit methodologies, internal control frameworks, and risk assessment concepts.

Experience preparing audit documentation and reports is a plus (internships included).

Technical Skills

Basic knowledge of internal audit principles and risk management frameworks.

Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to draft clear and structured documents (reports, policies, flowcharts).

Good command of MS Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Soft Skills

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage time effectively.
