Showroom Manager - Tiles & Sanitary Ware - Nigeria

Job Role: Oversee the daily operations of the tiles and sanitary showroom while leading the staff. Ensure proper customer service, strong sales performance, accurate product presentation, and smooth coordination with logistics and management. Act as the key in-showroom leader responsible for both commercial and operational functions.

Tasks and Duties

Supervise staff to ensure productivity and discipline.
Assign daily tasks, monitor attendance, and ensure adherence to company standards.
Conduct daily briefings to communicate targets, new arrivals, promotions, and operational updates.
Train staff on customer service, product knowledge, merchandising, and showroom etiquette.
Support sales activities by assisting customers in selecting tiles, sanitary ware, and accessories.
Handle key clients, provide detailed explanations of product specifications, and support in closing sales.
Ensure excellent customer experience through professional handling of inquiries, objections, and complaints.
Monitor key metrics such as daily sales, conversion rates, and customer feedback.
Oversee proper opening and closing procedures of the showroom.
Ensure the showroom is maintained at a high standard of cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation.
Manage helpers in replenishing tile samples, arranging boards, and preparing bathroom display setups.
Ensure cleaning staff maintain all areas (floor, displays, counters, sanitary demo units, etc.) in perfect condition.
Ensure accurate and appealing product displays aligned with visual merchandising guidelines.
Monitor labeling accuracy: dimensions, models, finishes, prices, and codes.
Oversee installation or setup of new display boards, tile stands, and sanitary mockups.
Report any damage, malfunctioning display items, missing labels, or outdated setups.
Monitor stock levels of fast-moving items and report shortages immediately.
Coordinate with the warehouse for item availability, delivery schedules, and sample replacements.
Participate in stock counts and report discrepancies.
Build and maintain strong relationships with walk-in and corporate customers (contractors, tilers, interior designers).
Follow up on quotations, product reservations, and pending approvals.
Support after-sales procedures including replacements, delivery concerns, and installation queries.
Prepare daily and weekly sales reports, customer insights, and operational issues.
Track staff performance and recommend improvement areas.
Ensure compliance with company policies, showroom SOPs, and operational standards.

Required Skills

more than 5 years of experience in Tiles & Sanitary Ware
Business Management or Marketing & Sales University Graduate
Strong knowledge of tiles (ceramic, porcelain, mosaic) and sanitary ware (mixers, WCs, sinks, showers).
Ability to explain specifications such as size, finish, slip resistance, and installation basics.
Familiarity with SAGE is an advantage.
Leadership and team-management ability.
Strong communication and customer-service orientation.
Confident in sales, negotiation, and technical explanations.
High attention to detail in displays and showroom upkeep.
Ability to handle pressure and meet monthly targets
