Lead Technician

Job Overview:
The Lead Technician is responsible for overseeing and following up on all maintenance-related activities within the BDD facility. The role ensures that maintenance requests are properly dispatched, tracked, and resolved efficiently, with a strong focus on selecting the most effective and sustainable solutions. The Lead Technician plays a critical role in resolving urgent and critical issues to ensure uninterrupted operations and a safe, well-maintained environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all maintenance-related issues within the facility and ensure timely resolution.
• Receive, dispatch, and monitor all maintenance tickets and requests.
• Prepare and submit client service request with the best cost-effective.
• Ensure all tickets are properly followed up until full closure.
• Act as the owner of the ticketing process, ensuring accuracy, prioritization, and timely updates.
• Maintain clear records of maintenance tickets, actions taken, and resolution status.
• Assess maintenance issues and recommend the most appropriate, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians and contractors when required.
• Ensure repairs and maintenance work comply with safety standards and operational requirements.
• Verify the quality of completed work before closing requests.
• Act promptly on urgent and emergency maintenance issues to minimize downtime and risks.
• Coordinate immediate corrective actions for critical systems (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
• Escalate major issues to management when necessary, along with proposed solutions.
• Support the implementation and follow-up of preventive maintenance schedules.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend preventive measures to reduce breakdowns.
• Ensure preventive maintenance activities are completed as planned.
• Act as the main point of contact for tenants regarding all maintenance-related matters.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with tenants to understand issues, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction.
• Liaise with facility management, tenants, vendors, and contractors to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide regular updates on ticket status, ongoing works, and critical issues.
• Support coordination between different maintenance trades when multiple interventions are required.

Qualifications
• Technical diploma or degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Maintenance (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in facility maintenance or a similar role.
• Previous experience in a commercial or mixed-use facility is an advantage.
