Supply Chain Officer

We are looking for a Supply Chain Officer to join our team and manage end-to-end supply chain operations for multiple brands—from inventory replenishment and supplier ordering to shipment clearance and warehouse delivery—ensuring optimal cost, quality, and service levels.

Key Responsibilities
• Update the Purchase Plan per SKU based on actual sales, marketing plans, and updated forecasts (annual & monthly).
• Monitor stock levels and coverage regularly and take action when needed.
• Place orders with suppliers as per deadlines and brand requirements after securing SCM approval.
• Optimize shipment quantities, values, and costs; ensure supplier terms (discounts, free goods, etc.) are respected.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure shipments are executed as planned.
• Verify draft shipping documents and ensure original documents are received before shipment arrival.
• Ensure supplier payments are settled as per agreed terms.
• Handle L/C processing when applicable, including acceptance letters to the bank to retrieve original documents on time.
• Update treasury with monthly cash and clearing forecasts.
• Coordinate RFQs through SC Assistant, share agent details with suppliers, and manage freight routing with forwarders/carriers.
• Ensure documents are shared with clearing agents and follow up on clearance to avoid delays.
• Coordinate with clearing agents and warehouse for receiving goods; manage claims with insurers/suppliers when applicable.
• Ensure consignments are properly insured.
• Raise and follow up claims with suppliers/insurance companies until settlement.
• Prepare landed cost factor studies for new brands/products.
• Prepare annual cost & selling reports to generate landed cost.
• Calculate order quantities, values, and receiving schedules related to yearly contracts.
• Analyze and justify variances between actual and budgeted landed cost when needed.
• Train new joiners on the workflow.
• Analyze order volume and recommend actions based on data.
• Supervise the FMCG team.
• Review and enhance current workflows.
• Prepare reports for the overall Supply Chain unit.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (MBA is a plus).
• Certifications in Transportation/Logistics, Forecasting/Demand Planning, or Documentary Letter of Credit are a plus.
• 3–4 years of experience in a similar role within FMCG / Pharmaceutical.

Skills
• Languages: Arabic & English (French is a plus).
• Strong ERP skills (Oracle or similar).
• Excellent MS Office skills, especially Excel
