The Key Responsibilities are:
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Python (FastAPI).
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best coding practices and design patterns.
- Develop scalable backend components and microservices while ensuring performance, reliability, and clean architecture.
- Work with PostgreSQL (or similar SQL databases), including schema design, query optimization, and indexing.
- Implement and support event‑driven systems using message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus.
- Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or Bruno.
- Use Git and version control best practices for collaborative engineering.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues through logs, tracing, and profiling.
- Implement and support third‑party integrations, orchestrating workflows and connecting services/APIs.
- Containerize and deploy services using Docker, Docker Compose, and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams and contribute to CI/CD processes.
- Support frontend development when needed, preferably with Python‑compatible frameworks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience as a Fullstack Engineer with strong backend focus.
- Hands-on experience with Python (FastAPI) for building APIs and backend services.
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL (or similar SQL databases): schema design, query optimization, indexing etc.
- Experience with microservices architecture and event-driven systems.
- Experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus.
- Experienced in API testing (Postman, Bruno etc.) and Version Control Systems (Git).
- Strong debugging skills: quickly diagnose and resolve production issues (logs, tracing, profiling).
- Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Experience troubleshooting production systems using logs, tracing, and profiling.
- Ability to implement and maintain third-party integrations.
- Basic familiarity with frontend development.
- Excellent English communication skills.
- This opportunity is remote for Egyptian applicants and Hybrid for Lebanese applicants.
