Amaken is currently hiring an Accountant for a contracting industry in Jounieh, Lebanon.
The Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department. This role ensures accuracy in financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and supports strategic decision-making through detailed analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of general ledger entries.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in audits.
• Prepare NSSF (National Social Security Fund), VAT and Income Tax declarations accurately and on time.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Enter financial transactions into the accounting system with precision and speed.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Previous Experience in ERP software (Wizard Preferably) and MS Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
