Job Title: Chief Accountant
Location: Beirut - Badaro
Employment Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday) – 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to lead our accounting function and ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all financial operations. The Chief Accountant will manage the accounting team, oversee financial reporting and closing processes, ensure compliance with tax and international accounting standards, and act as a key financial partner to the CEO.


Key Responsibilities
Lead, manage, and oversee the accounting team, ensuring high performance and continuous development
Conduct and organize necessary training to keep the team’s skills and accounting knowledge up to date
Ensure all required accounting and financial documents are properly requested, collected, compiled, and maintained
Oversee payroll processing and the preparation and submission of income tax and VAT filings
Proactively identify, assess, and resolve potential compliance and regulatory issues
Review and control all daily accounting transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with international accounting standards
Prepare monthly management reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Manage and ensure smooth monthly, periodic, and year-end closing processes within established deadlines
Take full ownership of the closing process, including applying and monitoring closing checklists to ensure a fair and accurate set of accounts
Maintain highly organized, complete, and up-to-date accounting and client files
Collaborate closely with other departments to support business objectives and shared goals
Provide regular financial insights and reports directly to the CEO


Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional certification is a plus)
Proven experience in a senior accounting role (Chief Accountant, Accounting Manager, or similar)
Strong knowledge of payroll, income tax, VAT, and financial reporting
Solid understanding of international accounting standards (IFRS or equivalent)
Experience managing and developing accounting teams
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines
Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
