• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, machines, and systems under the guidance of the Design Manager.
• Prepare BOMs, manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and technical documentation for review and approval.
• Select and size motors, gearboxes, bearings, chains, belts, pneumatic components, and other mechanical elements based on project requirements.
• Prepare drawings and technical documentation and submit them to the Design Manager for review and approval.
• Perform engineering calculations and basic simulations to validate design functionality, safety, and performance.
• Apply hygienic and food-grade design principles, particularly for stainless-steel and food-contact equipment.
• Collaborate with electrical, manufacturing, purchasing, and project teams to ensure design feasibility and cost efficiency.
• Support manufacturing, assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning activities and address design-related issues when required.
• Assist in investigating machine failures and recurring technical issues and develop corrective design modifications with the Design Manager.
• Coordinate with CAD Designers and other engineering team members to ensure drawings and models are accurate and complete.
• Maintain drawing revisions and engineering changes and ensure only the latest approved documents are used.
• Use standardized components and designs and contribute to maintaining the company’s design libraries and standard parts.
• Verify that drawings and BOMs match approved customer specifications and technical data sheets and are complete before manufacturing begins.
• Ensure assigned designs follow applicable machinery safety requirements, CE principles when required, customer specifications, and destination-country regulations.
• Participate in risk assessments and apply relevant standards for guarding, safe access, tolerances, welding, materials, technical drawings, and food-contact components.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, cost reduction, product reliability, and engineering best practices
