Senior Strategy Officer

Job Purpose

Support in the development, execution, and monitoring of C.A.T. Group’s “Strategic Plans”, both short- and long-term, in alignment with the company’s vision, while performing comprehensive internal and external analyses to identify and proposing high-impact strategic initiatives, in addition to overseeing the implementation of these initiatives by tracking progress, measuring outcomes, and providing strategic insights and corrective actions to ensure the timely achievement of key milestones and overall business objectives.


Job Duties

Strategy & Business Planning Activities

  • Support in defining the corporate vision, developing relevant key strategies, and driving their implementation throughout the Group
  • Track progress, provide updates & recommendations to ensure alignment with long-term goals
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, and other key stakeholders to ensure buy-in and alignment on strategic initiatives as well as prepare and present strategic reports with data driven insights and actionable recommendations
  • Support the development of Areas of Operations strategies and annual business plans while ensuring alignment with the Group Strategy as well as coordinate the preparation and quarterly updates of the annual business plans across Areas of Operations & the Group level in collaboration with Area Managers and concerned stakeholders
  • Conduct in-depth market research and industry analysis to identify trends, competitors’ strategies, business opportunities and threats to shape corporate strategy
  • Foster a culture of innovation by identifying and evaluating opportunities for new products, services, business models, technologies, and market expansions that provide competitive advantages. Support in developing processes for evaluation
  • Develop business cases for new initiatives, including numerical modelling, risk assessment, and feasibility studies
  • Perform scenario analysis & planning to identify & evaluate strategic risks and develop mitigation strategies ensuring business resilience. Work on projections such as revenue forecasts, order intake, and CAPEX
  • Develop and implement frameworks for identifying and mitigating strategic risks. Regularly review risk management processes and adjust strategies as needed
  • Support the development of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) processes and strategies in alignment with long-term goals, including due diligence, synergy evaluation, and integration planning
  • Support organizational change initiatives by supporting in the design and implementation of change management strategies that align with corporate goals
  • Build and maintain a strong business network through direct prospecting, involvement in industry groups, and establishing new partnerships
  • Support in developing KPIs to measure progress against strategic objectives while coordinating with stakeholders to compile, validate, and report on operational and strategic KPIs


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, finance, or equivalent
  • Master’s degree or MBA is preferred
  • Certificate in Strategic Management or equivalent
  • CMA or CFA certification is a plus
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in a similar role
  • Solid knowledge of technical and operational topics of the contracting and O&G industry
  • Strong business, strategic, and financial acumen
  • Strong analytics and forecasting experience
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic; French is a plus
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office and data analysis tools
