Job Role: Head Chef
The Lebanese Bakery (TLB) is currently hiring for the role of Head Chef. You will be responsible for managing TLB operations and ensures efficiency in all TLB outlet, in order to maximize sales and profit potential. We are a bakery in every neighborhood brought to life by two Lebanese brothers in honor of their childhood memories. We are inspired by the flavors of Lebanon and crafted flatbreads,” manousheh” and “mouajjanet”, heavenly bite-sized bakes, two pillars of Lebanese culture and cuisine. With branches in Beirut, London, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Egypt; Our bakeries are international hubs where people congregate to enjoy our food, meet old friends and make new ones.
Main Accountabilities
- Develop the Operation’s strategy in alignment with TLB’s overall strategy.
- Suggest and communicate information concerning new Operations improvements actions, implementation and updating of the Operations management system throughout the department.
- Maximize the production capacity of the bakeries by overseeing the performance in terms of quality of products/customer service and cleanliness through the bakery operations review, and devises action plan.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date plan of bakery staffing needs for maximizing production.
- Review menu engineering reports with the cost controller and take actions where needed.
- Responsible for the implementation and execution of new products and menu items rollout.
- Coordinate the training of kitchen staff and branch managers on new products.
- Products sourcing and approved brand list implementation.
- Make sure that the recipes are well implemented and organized and well communicated.
Knowledge, Technical Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality management or equivalent.
- Advanced knowledge of the Bakery Business (operational systems knowledge).
- 5-6 years of relevant experience.
- Fluency in English and Arabic; French is a plus.
- Advanced computer skills (MS office).
- Ability to understand and apply principals of all Food & Beverage metrics.
