The Country Office focuses on delivering integrated, lifesaving and resilience-building programmes across health, nutrition, WASH, education, child protection, and social policy, with a strong emphasis on equity and reaching the most vulnerable populations. The Social & Behavior Change (SBC) function is a cross-sectoral programme effectiveness output that supports all sectors in generating demand for services, strengthening community engagement, addressing behavioral barriers, and ensuring accountability to affected populations (AAP). SBC plays a critical role in both development programming and emergency response, particularly through Risk Communication and Community Engagement (RCCE), social listening, and community feedback.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in Social & Behavior Change, community engagement, communication for development, or related fields with demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing behaviour change and community engagement interventions is required.
• Experience working in humanitarian, emergency, or complex development contexts; engaging diverse stakeholders and communities; and coordinating within multi-sectoral environments is required.
• Fluency in English and Arabic is required.Knowledge of French or any other UN language is an asset.
• Previous UNICEF experience, particularly in SBC, Community Engagement, AAP, or RCCE programming, is a strong asset.
