Quality Control Manager

We are looking for a quality control manager to join our team:

Responsibilities:

-Develop and implement quality control procedures and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP).
-Conduct regular inspections and audits of production facilities, equipment, and processes to identify potential quality issues and areas for improvement.
-Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, R&D, and procurement, to establish quality benchmarks and specifications for raw materials, ingredients, and finished products.
-Monitor and analyze production data and performance metrics to track quality trends, identify root causes of deviations, and implement corrective actions.
-Lead investigations into customer complaints, non-conformances, and product recalls, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
-Develop and deliver training programs for production staff on quality control procedures, food safety practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
-Manage relationships with suppliers and third-party vendors, conducting supplier audits and evaluations to ensure product quality and consistency.
-Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes related to food safety and quality control.

Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree in food science, Microbiology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
-Minimum of 10 years of experience in a quality control or assurance role within the food industry, with a focus on food safety and regulatory compliance.
-Strong knowledge of food safety standards and regulations (e.g., FDA Food Code, FSMA, GMP, HACCP).
-Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, SQF, BRC) and proficiency in implementing and maintaining these systems.
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
-Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence change.
-Detail-oriented approach with a commitment to accuracy and precision.
-Certification in food safety (e.g., Certified Food Safety Manager) is preferred
