Junior Accountant - Payables

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Junior Accountant - Payables to assist with managing accounts payable operations by processing and verifying financial transactions. Responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, preparing payments to suppliers, and supporting month-end close procedures. A successful Junior Accountant - Payables will combine excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

•Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable transactions.
•Prepare and process supplier payments, ensuring timely responses to vendor inquiries.
•Monitor and assist with monthly bank reconciliations.
•Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
•Prepare accurate and meaningful accounting reports.
•Assist in maintaining and recommending modifications to accounting procedures.
•Support external auditor requests.
•Ensure compliance with IFRS and company policies.
•Monitor company expenditures, including invoices, purchase orders, statements, and bills.
•Assist and support additional tasks requested by management.

Requirements and Skills:

•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
•1-2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in accounts payable.
•Basic understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes.
•Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
•Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
•Excellent organizational skills.
•Flexibility and ability to multi-task and switch focus based on priorities.
•Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•Ability to maintain confidentiality.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications:
•Experience in Dolphin software is a plus.
•Advanced MS Excel skills.
•Analytical mind with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
