Maintenance Engineer (Based in Ghana)

Role Description:
This is a full-time on-site role for a Maintenance Engineer based in Ghana. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for daily maintenance and repair tasks, implementing preventive maintenance measures, and performing mechanical maintenance.



Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering - A Master degree is a plus
5+ years of experience in a similar role - Experience in the F&B Manufacturing Industry is a plus
Six Sigma or Lean methodology knowledge preferred
Fluent in English & French
Proficiency with Microsoft office, CAD, simulation & programming
Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in Maintenance and Repair


Duties & responsibilities:
Oversee the maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical equipment and systems used in food and beverage production, such as conveyors, packaging machines, boilers, HVAC systems, and utilities.
Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure reliability of machinery.
Manage projects related to the upgrading, modification, spare parts, or installation of new equipment, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to regulatory requirements.
Manage current inventory of spare parts and generate daily, weekly, & monthly reports.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and safety, to ensure seamless integration of new equipment and systems.
Foster a collaborative and productive team environment, promoting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing among team members.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies related to mechanical systems and equipment.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions to maintain a safe working environments.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize equipment performance, reduce costs, and improve overall operational efficiency.
Analyze data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.
