Job Summary:
The Procurement and Logistics Specialist is responsible for overseeing the acquisition of goods and services and ensuring their timely and cost-effective delivery. This role involves negotiating with suppliers, managing logistics operations, and maintaining inventory levels to support the company's operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement:

Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
Issue purchase orders and manage the procurement process from order placement to delivery.
Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements in all procurement activities.
Logistics:

Coordinate and manage the transportation and delivery of goods to and from the company.
Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
Track shipments and resolve any issues that may arise during transportation.
Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including shipping documents and delivery receipts.
Work with internal teams to forecast demand and ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained.
Inventory Management:

Monitor inventory levels and reorder stock as necessary to avoid shortages or overstock situations.
Implement inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and minimize waste.
Conduct regular audits of inventory to verify quantities and identify discrepancies.
Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure proper storage and handling of goods.
Supplier Management:

Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery times.
Address any issues with suppliers promptly to maintain a smooth supply chain.
Develop and maintain a database of reliable suppliers and potential vendors.
Cost Control:

Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings.
Prepare and present reports on procurement and logistics activities, including cost analyses and budget forecasts.
Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.
Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure all procurement and logistics activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Prepare and submit regular reports to management on procurement and logistics performance.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in procurement and logistics, preferably in a similar industry.
Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in procurement and logistics software and tools.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
