Job Summary:

The Chief Accountant is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the company's financial operations. This includes ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and developing sound financial strategies to support the company's growth and profitability. The Chief Accountant plays a critical role in providing financial insights and guidance to the CEO and executive team.

Responsibilities:

Financial Management:

Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed asset accounting.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP and relevant regulatory standards.
Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
Manage cash flow and working capital to optimize liquidity and support business operations.
Prepare budgets and forecasts, collaborating with department heads to ensure alignment with company objectives.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks.
Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
Oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns and reports.
Maintain strong relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting standards and regulations.
Strategic Partnership:

Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO, providing financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making.
Collaborate with the executive team to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's long-term goals.
Analyze profitability of various products, projects, and business units to inform strategic decisions.
Team Leadership:

Lead, manage, and mentor the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Ensure the team's understanding and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Certifications: CPA or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
Skills:
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles specific to manufacturing.
Expertise in financial reporting, analysis, and budgeting.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
