Merchandisers are responsible for everything that happens to a product from the moment it is delivered to the store to the moment a shopper picks it up off the shelf. They are responsible for ensuring that the highest standards in products: display, merchandising, availability and rotation, are met at the customers outlet.
Primary/Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Ensure that products are displayed in a way to get the maximum impact on the shelves, with as many facings as possible.
- Good understanding and knowledge of the products being marketed in order to be able to convince customers to present and market them in the best possible way. Ensure continuous availability of POS materials and that these are utilized in all possible occasions and places. Regular checkups on tidiness and good presentation of material placed
- Ensure items are correctly priced and that related issues are dealt with directly by merchandisers or reported to management / sales representative.
- Complete reports required by management (customer score card etc.)
- Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and customer relation.
- Work as a unified team with management / sales force / merchandising force, to ensure best company results at all time.

Qualifications/Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience working in retail or merchandising
- Excellent analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be committed to providing outstanding customer service
