Duties and Responsibilities:
Compliance:
- Staying up-to-date on safety regulations, conducting regular inspections to identify and fix hazards, investigating accidents, and reporting to relevant authorities.
Risk Management:
- Identifying potential risks in store operations, implementing controls like procedures and training to mitigate them, and providing personal protective equipment.
Emergency Preparedness:
- Developing plans for various emergencies, practicing through drills, and collaborating with local services for coordinated response.
Leverage data to drive safety excellence:
- Collecting and analyzing OH&S data (incident reports, audits, risk assessments).
- Ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Generating reports and communicating key safety metrics
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as an OH&S Officer in retail or similar environment.
- Strong understanding of relevant OH&S practices and standards (ISO 45001, 14001)
