We are recruiting for the Levant Region - The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Port Container Terminal is responsible for the overall strategic direction, operational performance, and financial health of the terminal. The CEO will lead the organization in achieving its business objectives, optimizing terminal operations, expanding market share, and enhancing stakeholder value. This role requires a visionary leader with deep industry knowledge, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to manage complex logistics and operational challenges in a highly competitive environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the long-term strategic plan to ensure the terminal’s growth, profitability, and market competitiveness.
  • Identify new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to expand the terminal’s operations and customer base.
  • Ensure alignment of the terminal’s goals with the broader corporate strategy and global trends in the maritime and logistics industries.
  • Oversee all aspects of terminal operations, including container handling, logistics, safety, and environmental sustainability.
  • Drive operational efficiency through the implementation of advanced technologies, automation, and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with international and local regulations, industry standards, and best practices in terminal operations.
  • Develop and manage the terminal’s budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve financial targets.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze key metrics, and take corrective actions to ensure profitability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Engage with financial stakeholders, including investors and lenders, to secure funding and manage financial risks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, shipping lines, logistics providers, and local communities.
  • Lead and develop a diverse and skilled management team, ensuring the alignment of their efforts with the terminal’s strategic goals.
  • Identify and mitigate operational, financial, and strategic risks that could impact the terminal’s performance and sustainability.
  • Develop and implement crisis management plans to respond to emergencies, disruptions, and other contingencies.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within the port, maritime, logistics, or transportation industries, with a strong understanding of container terminal operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful business strategies in a complex and competitive environment.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial management, and performance analysis.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • A track record of leading and inspiring large teams, driving cultural change, and improving organizational performance.
  • Knowledge of international trade, shipping regulations, and global supply chain dynamics.
  • Advanced degree in business administration, logistics, maritime studies, or a related field is preferred.
