As a Water and Environment Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our organization, contributing to the successful planning, design, and implementation of wet utilities projects, including water supply, stormwater drainage, sewage, and main & secondary irrigation networks.



Responsibilities:


-Design:

  • Utilize your expertise to develop detailed engineering designs for wet utilities systems, including water supply & firefighting networks, irrigation networks, sewage networks, stormwater drainage networks, and other related infrastructure works.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and environmental guidelines.


-Quality Assurance:

  • Perform thorough quality checks and reviews of engineering documents, drawings, bills of quantities and specifications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Implement necessary revisions and improvements as needed.


-Technical Analysis:

  • Conduct technical analysis and calculations to support design decisions, system performance evaluations, and optimization efforts.
  • Use specialized software and tools to model and simulate wet utilities systems.


-Client Communication:

  • Effectively communicate with clients to understand their needs, provide project updates, and address any concerns or questions they may have.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to foster trust and ensure customer satisfaction.


-Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay up-to-date with relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to wet utilities.
  • Ensure project designs and operations comply with applicable legal requirements and obtain necessary permits and approvals.


-Team Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, technicians, and project managers, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, sharing knowledge and expertise with colleagues.


-Continuous Learning:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the Water and Environment consulting field.
  • Participate in professional development activities, attend conferences, and pursue relevant certifications to enhance your skills and knowledge.



Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is a plus, but not mandatory for consideration.
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of professional experience in wet utilities consulting.
  • Strong knowledge of wet utilities systems, including water supply and firefighting networks, irrigation networks, sewage networks, stormwater drainage networks.
  • Proficiency in relevant software tools, such as AutoCAD / Civil3D, and hydraulic modeling software (WaterGems, SewerGems, FlowMaster, ArcGIS, Power Point, Word and Excel etc...).
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience in the Middle East and Africa is preferred.
