Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Quality Manager based in Beirut. The Assistant Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing quality control procedures, conducting audits, implementing quality standards, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The role also involves analyzing quality data, identifying areas for improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.


Required skills & qualifications

The required candidate should have prior experience within F&B manufacturing industry & within water treatment in particular. Please do not apply if you do not have a similar experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications in water treatment or environmental compliance are a plus.

5+ years of experience in water treatment operations, preferably within the food and beverage manufacturing industry.

Experience with water filtration systems, reverse osmosis, chemical treatment processes, and wastewater management.


Duties & responsibilities

  • ·Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the beverage production, including filtration, chemical treatment, and waste disposal.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to water quality, system efficiency, and chemical consumption.
  • Analyze data to optimize water usage and treatment processes for improved efficiency and reduced environmental impact.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
  • Ensure processes meet all regulatory requirements, including environmental and health standards, such as EPA and FDA guidelines.
  • Collaborate with environmental and safety teams to maintain compliance with wastewater discharge permits.
  • Conduct routine inspections and audits of water treatment systems, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational standards.
  • Provide technical support for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting including pumps, valves, filtration units, and reverse osmosis systems.
  • Assist in developing and implementing preventive maintenance schedules for the facilities.
  • Work closely with engineering and maintenance teams to address any equipment malfunctions or process issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of operations, including chemical usage, system performance, and environmental compliance reports.
  • Prepare reports on water treatment performance for internal use and regulatory agencies.
