Information Technology Manager

Job Description

As a(n) Director of Information Technology / Information Technology Manager you are responsible to monitor the operation of all computer hardware installation and maintenance and your role will include key responsibilities such as-

  • Serve as primary contact for all servicing of computer PC hardware
  • Maintain licenses for all software and ensure that all systems are covered by the proper maintenance contacts
  • Maintain a sufficient inventory of computer related supplies
  • Maintain a log of all computer hardware and a log of all services calls on computer hardware
  • Manage the configuration records, programme files and data files on the computer system
  • Monitor the performance of the computer software and maintain a log of performance reports, error and integrity check reports, system malfunctions and solutions
  • Install and test corporate approved programme changes to the hotel computer systems
  • Investigate and report software problems to the vendor, or MIS regional, area or corporate office
  • Train selected hotel employees to take on major responsibilities of system managing in his absence
  • Maintain technical and user documentation, system reports and newsletters
  • Complete and distribute a monthly activities report to Corporate Vice President - Information Technology

Skills

Education, Qualifications & Experiences

You should have a degree in the information technology field and previous experiences in a similar role along with a proven knowledge on all IT related sectors. An excellent command of English and the ability to design networks and provide technical leads are essential.
