Job Title: Electrical Engineer (5+ Years Experience)

 

Location: Zalka, Lebanon

 

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in the contracting field to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in reviewing MEP tenders, preparing electrical and low current designs, shop-drawings, and quantity take-offs, and assisting in estimation and tendering processes.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze MEP tenders to ensure compliance with project requirements and technical specifications.
  • Design and develop electrical and low current systems for various projects, including power distribution, lighting, and low voltage systems (fire alarms, security, data networks, etc.).
  • Prepare detailed shop-drawings and technical documentation for electrical and low current systems.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for estimation and tendering purposes.
  • Assist in preparing techno-commercial proposals for MEP tenders, including cost estimates, material specifications, and technical submittals.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, project managers, and construction teams to ensure designs are aligned with project goals and timelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, electrical codes, and regulations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for material selection and procurement.
  • Support tendering activities by conducting feasibility studies, analyzing project risks, and providing value engineering options.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the MEP contracting field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and low current systems in the MEP industry.
  • Experience in preparing BOQs, estimation works, and quantity take-offs.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with international and local electrical standards and codes.
