In charge of managing the team in each section of the supermarket, achieving sales targets, and maximizing growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Oversee and manage supermarket activities and daily operations.
- Ensure all sections are ready for business (lights, air conditioning, refrigeration, doors, security, parking, staff, etc.).
- Open and close the store as required.
- Address staff-related issues and ensure effective and efficient work scheduling.
- Coordinate daily with supervisors to maintain workflow and foster a team-oriented environment.
- Continuously monitor pricing, expiry dates, returned goods, and warehouse coordination.
- Handle customer complaints, queries, and other service-related concerns.
- Assist in the recruitment of new supermarket staff.
- Evaluate staff performance at the end of the probation period and annually.
- Supervise order receiving, stock control, and inventory management.
- Fulfill all operational requirements of the store.
- Assign, appraise, and plan tasks for individual staff members.
- Provide coaching and discipline to employees to promote positive results.
- Anticipate and respond to present and future customer needs.
- Build strong relationships with both existing and potential customers.
- Develop strategies for marketing merchandise in a profitable way.
