Warehouse Supervisor- Chekka

Duties and Responsibilities

• Reviewing and preparing order workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.
• Overseeing receiving, warehousing, and transfer activities.
• Setting up the layout and ensuring efficient and optimized space utilization.
• Initiating, coordinating, and enforcing optimal operational policies and procedures.
• Planning work rotations, assigning tasks appropriately, and appraising results.
• Recruiting, selecting, orienting, coaching, and motivating the warehouse employees.
• Producing reports and statistics regularly
• Implementing warehouse operational policies and procedures.
• Ensuring the warehouse is compliant with Health and Safety regulations.
• Meeting regularly with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention
• Maintaining documentation and keeping accurate records of warehouse activities.
• Training employees on company policies and procedures for handling inventory, and other tasks.
• Responsible for the security of all warehouse assets and infrastructure.
• Managing the returns to the Warehouse and ensuring items are dealt with promptly and returned to stock.
• Following up with stock controllers to ensure that stock movements and stock-keeping standards are maintained in line with company guidelines.
• Responsible for investigating stock discrepancies, and reporting the information to relevant managers including the finance team.
• Driving stock takes at regular frequency and reporting on results.
• Ensuring the highest operational standards are always deployed on the floor.
• Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided.

Competencies

Education BS in Business Administration or any relevant

Experience 4+ years of experience in a warehouse role managing blue collars

Knowledge, Skills
& Abilities
• Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager.
• Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
• Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
• Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases
• Leadership skills and ability to manage staff.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• BS degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration
• Ability to operate a forklift is an advantage
