Kitchen Commis

KAMAKAN SAL - Lebanon
The Kitchen commis is a full-time, on-site role. The successful candidate will report to the kitchen Chef and is mainly responsible for preparing ingredients and all menu items. The candidate is also expected to assist other team members with cooking, inventory and other tasks.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Preparing ingredients, setting up the designated section and ensuring it is ready for service.
• Preparing salads and desserts up to the best quality and in a timely manner, both for dine-in and delivery operations.
• Cleaning and ensuring compliance with food safety and hygiene standards throughout each process.
• Monitoring of stock: daily, weekly and monthly inventories of raw material and other in-house produced items.
• Waste management & control, including waste data entry
• Assisting the rest of the team with other tasks assigned by Managers and the chef

Requirements

• At least two-years experience in a similar role.
• Strong organization and communication skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & to provide training and support to colleagues.
• Flexibility to work in varying shifts, special occasions as & when required.
• Familiarity with organic food, vegan / plant-based products is a strong plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent is a prerequisite, certification(s) is a strong plus
