Job Objective
Your role as Senior Backend Developer is to deploy your code to production affecting millions of users globally and write new features to attract new users and engage our user base.
You will develop integrations with new partners globally, so we are able to tackle underserved markets and offer better deals to customers.
You will focus on the development of all server-side logic, maintenance, and definition of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.
Responsibilities
- Work with team members, management and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed within standards
- Identify risks and develop contingency plans as early as possible
- Prepare and ensure final product/code are ready to release
- Keep abreast of industry trends and developments.
- Develop and deliver new product features
- Work across both technical and business focused teams to deliver value to our users
- Deploy Beta versions for testing and work closely with QA team, to finally place final versions to production
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Software engineering
- 5+ Years of experience in Software Development preferably in the Banking sector or Financial Services industry
- Ability to explore and learn new technologies
- Strong understanding of relational databases and event driven architecture.
- Experience in delivering projects from discovery to production.
- Experience working with highly available systems
- Impressive strategic thinking
- Great time management and project management skills
- Good understanding of system reliability and stability patterns.
- Great Communication skills both verbal and written
- Strong understanding of Java Spring Boot
- Familiarity with common design patterns and core concepts of functional programming specially API first design and micro services.
